 Wideopen is Cory Jach and Nat Gauci, two songwriting musicians based in Melbourne, Australia.
The guys have been performing together since 2000, working Melbourne's pub scene with their acoustic duo act as well as with various funk, R&B, latin, rock, soul and pop bands. They've each built a strong reputation as session and backup performers - and it was only ever a matter of time before they teamed up to produce original music together.
You'll spot Nat's love of jazz, soul and pop in her vocal lines, with Cory's harder rock and new soul influences coming through in his tasty guitar work. But Wide Open's main focus is on strong writing, great musicianship and top production from their home studio.
The pair refuse to pigeonhole their sound - "We want to stay wide open (get it?) to all our influences. We've both worked in a lot of different musical environments, and we want that diversity to show up - but we're definately trying to keep the sound accessible," says Cory.
"We're very excited about this project," says Nat, "Hope we manage to reach people with our music... Stay tuned!"
